Trying out a new diet is not to be taken lightly. At IIN I learned about bio individuality; “one person’s food is another person’s poison”. So, in other words… no one diet works for everyone. Hence, why we sometimes get frustrated when a fad diet works for someone and it doesn’t work for us. I’ve hear about gluten free, fat free, sugar free, dairy free, hormonal dieting, and so on. Some people seem to swear by what worked for them (obviously) and then, I get so upset when it doesn’t work for me.
I have had a few stomach issues when it comes to trying to make a food stick to my diet that are just not cut out for me and after many years of struggling… I finally realized, that I just have to listen to my body. It’s an amazing piece of equipment this entire multi functioning, sensorial apparatus that carries us around. It let’s us know when something is not nurturing and kind to our system through multiple symptoms like IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), Migraine headaches, joint pain, acne, skin problems, respiratory problems, fatigue and even ADD!!
When our gut griefs, its painful and just unnerving. So… after you notice that something might not be right with your diet, what to do now? Simple: find what works for your body type! We are all made different, and designed in such a special way that we are absolutely unique in from every possible angle. We need to dig deeper and find help in the right places. And, by right places, we need to look at every aspect of our lives.
Whilst getting my degree in Health Coaching, I have found the best tools to identify what needs to be modified in order for me to get better sleep, better energy and a much much better attitude towards life. A pure and simple life has gotten me much further than I expected and I’ve been told by many (and have made it my motto), it’s gonna keep getting better if I do the work.
So… I invite you to dig deeper and find your pure and simple life, and make life work for you.
